A Reminder...

Greg Hayes
RIDER EDUCATOR

A reminder that GWRRA provides us with a Limited Liability Insurance Policy, which is paid for with some of the yearly chartering fees. In order for the Chapters and GWRRA to be covered under this insurance, adequate safety standards must be maintained when conducting any motorcycle/trike skill events.

The following requirements must be adhered to by ALL participants in any competitive riding events:

  1. Rider Licensing - All Riders must hold a valid operator's license with motorcycle endorsement as required by the Rider's state of residence. Riders who do not hold a valid license will not be permitted to participate. [Co-Riders do not need to be licensed].
  2. Proper Riding Attire - All Riders and Co-Riders must wear "proper" riding gear while riding. This will include, a DOT approved helmet, eye protection, full-fingered gloves, over-the-ankle foot protection, with the balance of the body covered [Jackets or shirts should be a single piece], and long pants.

These requirements shall apply at any GWRRA riding event that is competitive and is of a nature that involves skill. They do not apply to any "non-educational' or "non-competitive" riding activity, such as a Chapter Ride, parade, light show, or poker run.

Please adhere to these requirements and make no exceptions.
